Introducing Blender Community v4 🥳
After almost one year of development, we are proud to introduce the latest version of the Blender.Community website!
Built from the ground up on top of the Dillo web framework, this new system will allow to introduce new features (and communities) more quickly and also to implement long standing requests and fixes.
✨ New Features
- Media Attachments : Drag and drop images or videos directly into your posts.
- Likes ♥ The old "Upvote" is now like.
- Right-Click Select posts now have their own Upvote/Downvote points that do not affect a users' karma.
- Moderation . A group of users to quickly take action on spam content.
- Content Reporting See anything suspicious? Flag the post or comment.
- Profile Reel ! Show off your work with a YouTube/Vimeo embed.
- Detailed user activity in homepage and profiles.
- Email notifications on post and comment lkes (with adjustable preferences)
- Images in comments now support click to expand.

Links such as
blender.community,blender.chat, and others now become clickable links. -
External links in comments, posts and profiles marked with
rel='nofollow'to discourage spammers.
🐞 Fixes
- YouTube/Vimeo embed works again.
- User profiles now have a link to See All posts/ideas/builds.

- User Profile report (only posts and comments can be reported at the moment)

I think it would be cool if Blender Today was still there in the spirit of Pablos or other Blender people. Simply because it was always very informative and came across as personal. And there were questions. Even without answers. So I thought it was good. It's a shame that it doesn't exist anymore. It was unique and in my opinion showed openness and was very likeable in every single live stream. I would think that no one else celebrated it like that and it was always a unique selling point of the Blender community.

Ok, as it's not possible for me to register on GitHub (used FF and Chrome - get a loop with a confirmation of an password again and again), I make an other post here.
Other issue: Pinned topic appears only after you hit twice "Load More". The more messages, the more you need to click "Load More"

No thumbnails is big loss, also dark theme is bit too intense, maybe less contrast on things?
Can we have some more options for editing comments? Like add link, picture, video...
Adding pictures and videos to comments is in the roadmap!
What do you mean by adding links? Comments support the same Markdown as the regular posts. Here is most of what you can do: github.com/adam-p/markdown-here/wiki/Markdown-Cheatsheet
I meant similar to devtalk "Insert Hyperlink" to be like this My link . It seems already here, but need a button to create it.
Also, I just deleted the comment, because "X" icon was near the end of the text and I wanted to add some stuff.

Thanks for your feedback! I've added the number of votes now on the list in RCS. The thumbnail we decided not to have them anymore since we felt most of the time they were badly cropped and just added noise to the page. We're open for feedback.
Sorry for splitting your attention by my two comments, but I need to ask about video processing. I have uploaded mp4 video on one of my propose on RCS about a day ago and it still in "Video processing... "
